Tips on Getting the Most Through Shopping Wise this Christmas

We maybe constraint to shopping now these days than we normally do during Christmas season due to limited money we have on hand, as recession continue to be felt globally. But since it’s Christmas time, we can’t evade from spending, one thing is the tradition of Christmas encourages giving. The good thing about Christmas season, there are lots of sale coming in, “Christmas sale” “Clearance Sale” “Anniversary Sale” , “Garage Sale” .and other which normally sprout during this season in order to beat competition. We should take chance of getting the most through shopping wise this Christmas

1. Buy in bulk - You think you can save by buying in retail but in reality, you spend more when you buy the small size sachet than buying the big size. If you look at the content measurement and compare the price of the small size to big size that doubles the content, you’ll notice that there is only a slight increase in price rather than doubles it.

2. Avail the promos - During this season there are lots of promos in the supermarket. You can find some grocery items bound in 6 or 12 pieces with free additional or promo item attached to it. In some cases these free items are new products which is on the introductory phase given as sample to find it’s way in the market.

3. Find sales item - For this holiday season, there are lots of supermarket and stalls putting up “sales tag” in order to move out those unsold items and with cut down on its prices, they expect to move them out faster . There are also good items you can find in those products running under “sales” line. Usually those products on sales are those with broken sizes, surplus, outmoded and with factory defect. But it is lot better than the second hand item. In buying shoes I usually find my size on those broken sizes or if not in children shoes, ah, my woes in having a small size feet. I do save a lot from those “sales” items like kitchen and dining wares, bags, shoes, clothes, toys, personal accessories and eye glasses

4. Don’t concentrate on branded items – Though branded items are lot safer and reliable they command a staggering price which seems unreasonable especially when you are in a tight budget. There are lots of unbranded items which are also reliable, with good design and remarkably low-priced product. There are people who buy branded items for purpose of a show that’s why some business man are tempted to produce an imitated products in much lower prices. But I won’t advice anyone to patronize the fake one; you are not really saving your money from buying them. Usually the fake one contains a harmful ingredients and did not pass the government standard. Those imitated products carry other names but the design has similarity to the brand they are copying. Sometimes this product spells durability to some extent, it is only base on how careful you handle and use the product. They have license to manufacture and passed the government standard.

5. Spot for good bargain – The larger portion of the consumer nowadays are bargain conscious, Bargain are sold on a very low prices. These bargain items are usually of low-quality with absence of strict standard and were done in mass production. These products are usually sold in bargain center. On the other hand, the department stores are posting for some bargain items which are quality but just the same they pass it to bargain to easily dispose them, only with slight damages like unstitched portion, stained part, one screw missing and other similar defects. I was able to spot a good bargain item three years ago, it’s a wall clock and its working until now.

6. Take the free stuff offering– When you go to mall you’ll find a lot of free stuff, a sales clerk standing at the entrance of the stall offering free stuff or inside supermarket inviting you for a free taste. With lots of free taste I encountered I was able to free my snack for the day.

These are only few tips to remind you that we have to be wise in handling finances especially during this global economic downturn. If there are some other tips which I have not taken up you can share them in the comment box.
